The size range and app openness are broadly similar in kind, if not in breadth — Boox spans 6" to 13.3" with note-taking tablets at the large end, while Meebook's current lineup sits at 7.8" in two panel types. The sharper difference is what each company is willing to publish about what happens after you buy: Onyx's return and warranty pages are unusually specific, down to per-size-range fees. Meebook has no equivalent page we could find.
Buying either through a retailer listing means that retailer's own return window applies in the near term, same as with any brand on this site. Longer-term, Onyx's published 1-year (US) hardware warranty gives you something to point to if a mainboard or display fault shows up later. What's verifiable is that Onyx publishes a detailed return and warranty policy you can read before you buy; Meebook, as of this writing, doesn't publish an equivalent document — so there's simply less to evaluate for Meebook on this specific point.
